The Canon EOS R6 Mark II is the successor to the EOS R6 and comes with numerous improvements. This full-frame mirrorless camera features a 24.2-megapixel CMOS sensor, working in tandem with the Digic X image processor.

Made for the fast work
Designed for fast-paced action, sports, and wildlife photographers will appreciate the camera’s capability to capture 40 frames per second. The improved Dual Pixel CMOS AF II ensures better object tracking and focus while shooting at that high speed, even in challenging low-light conditions, with autofocus working down to -6.5EV.
CMOS AF II autofocus
The EOS R6 Mark II excels at recognizing not only humans, eyes, and faces but also animals like dogs, cats, birds, and horses. Additionally, it can identify and track vehicles such as race cars, motorcycles, airplanes, and trains. The camera’s Deep Learning AI technology enables it to recognize and follow subjects, even when they momentarily disappear behind other objects.
Video possibilities
For video recording, the EOS R6 Mark II offers a maximum resolution of UHD 4K at 60fps, and you can capture images at 180fps in 4K. The time limit is quite generous, allowing continuous filming for up to 6 hours. Filming at the highest 4K 60fps bitrate settings gives you 40 minutes of uninterrupted footage. The camera achieves 4K video from oversampled 6K material.
Pre-roll
Thanks to the 5-second pre-roll feature, the camera records the 5 seconds before you start filming, which can be useful for capturing those critical moments. Of course, you need to have the camera focused on the subject during this pre-roll time.
C-Log
With the Canon Log 3 color profile, you gain complete control over professional filmmaking, maximizing dynamic range and providing ample room for color and contrast adjustments during post-production.
Image stabilization
The EOS R6 Mark II features 5-axis optical image stabilization, providing up to 8 stops of stabilization with compatible lenses, functioning effectively down to -6.5EV.
HDR for moving subjects
A new exciting feature is HDR for moving subjects. Normally, HDR involves capturing multiple photos at different exposures, requiring the subject to remain still to avoid blur. Now, it’s possible to capture moving subjects in HDR. This is due to the fast fps of 40 photos per second. In addition to the HDR mode, there’s a Panoramic mode that allows you to choose between vertical and horizontal panoramas. The Anti-Flicker mode eliminates the flickering caused by LED lights.
